SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, COCO MICHELLE & CO
September 2018 - Present
Through freelancing, I’ve continued to develop web (Angular) and mobile (Ionic) applications for clients. The projects ranged from 1 to 6 months where I am working with mixed teams comprised of founders, designers, and marketers. The projects were a scheduling app for groups of people looking to meet up with a certified trainer, a hair coaching web app that generates curated messages to users based on their current hair style, and a maternity web app connecting mothers to caregivers. From authentication and algorithms to geolocation and deployment these products continue to mold my skills as a developer all around.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER, WEBJUNTO
April 2015 - March 2018
With Webjunto I was a software developer mainly coding web (Angular) and hybrid mobile (Ionic) apps for startups. I managed a team of developers and lead 3-4 projects at different stages in 3 month cycles, one of which was usually an enterprise application. I met with clients and scoped projects for proposals to send. I planned sprints, estimated stories, and delegated tasks to my team. I kept up constant communication with clients and delivered projects on deadline.
AT HOME ADVISOR, APPLE
March 2014 - March 2015
With Apple I was an At-Home-Advisor who aided customers with issues they had with their Apple device’s hardware or software. Six months after becoming an At-Home-Advisor, I was promoted to Tier 2 (comparable to a Genius in-store) which is responsible for taking more serious calls and making sure they stay with the customer from the beginning of the issue to its resolution.
COMPUTER SUPPORT SPECIALIST, SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA
August 2012Â - March 2014
Three months after becoming a Computer Support Specialist, I was promoted to manage an office that was responsible for the upkeep and repairs for every laptop in the district. In addition to maintaining that office, I also administered 4 different labs that were used frequently and required various needs to be met based on the knowledge of the trainer and the type of session being held. During the summer of 2013, I organized a work flow and managed a small team to execute the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair over 500 computers in 6 weeks.
Science Leadership Academy is a school where every student has a laptop because all of their class materials are online. They believe in storing everything on the cloud and using technology to enhance the learning experience. Here I was able to see a need and create my own solution, such as imaging servers (PC: Clonezilla & Mac: Deploy Studio). Therefore learning a lot with problem solving a creating original answers to questions.
